Every dollar becomes milkweed
We are a small Wisconsin group with a base camp in Aniwa. We flag roadside milkweed before the first mow, collect the eggs, raise them in two predator-safe enclosures and let them go. Donations buy the materials that makes that possible.
Small amounts go a long way here
There is no office, no salaries and no fundraising staff. The costs are physical things: mesh and lumber for the enclosures, native seed and milkweed plugs, high-visibility vests for the crews working the ditches, tags, and the handbooks we hand out at workshops.

Some of the most useful things anyone has given us never went through a card reader.
Come flag milkweed
June through September, before the county mows. It is a morning of walking a ditch with a bundle of flags. Volunteers camp free at the base camp.
Give materials
Mesh, PVC, untreated lumber, native seed, unopened potting mix. If you are clearing out a shed and it is on that list, text us before it goes to the curb.
Plant your own patch
A few square feet of common milkweed and some late-season nectar does more than a donation of the same value. We will tell you what grows here.
What we can and cannot tell you
We are a Wisconsin association, not a national charity. Money given here is spent by the people who do the work, in the county where it is raised.
